Join us for the annual CDAA online Regional Australia symposium hosted by the Queensland CDAA division.

Hear unique perspectives from a line-up of wonderful guest speakers who will share insights about career, workforce and community trends and opportunities within regional and rural Australia.

The guest speakers include: 

  • Chantal Corish – Chantal is an AHPRA registered psychologist with a private practice in rural Australia for nearly two decades.  She has a popular podcast The Rural Psychologist, and is a strong advocate for good community & workplace mental health and wellbeing in the bush.

    She is regularly asked to speak at community events and facilitate workshops. She is also a partner in a cotton, cattle and grain growing enterprise in South East Qld. Chantal graduated from the prestigious Australian Rural Leadership Program (ARLP) in 2021 and is now completing her PhD at CQUniversity.

  • Pippa Jones – Pippa works as an extension officer with NSW Local Land Services and is a Director of the board of Southern Queensland Landscapes. Pippa is also a 2024 Nuffield Scholar, where she is researching opportunities for farmers to build carbon literacy so they can make good decisions.

This symposium offers discussion and practical applications that include: 

  • Regional workforce trends that are creating different opportunities for work
  • Connecting metropolitan and regional communities via workforce and study opportunities
  • The importance of connecting wellbeing and employment

This event is suitable for all career practitioners, community support staff, training providers, government and business agencies interested in regional workforce and career development.
