Mark has worked for over four decades, across three continents, and in over 20 roles (including volunteer positions). His international experience includes Banking and Finance, Outdoor Pursuits, and Expedition Leadership during the ‘80s and ‘90s. 

He was a late starter to university studies, when he found his UK qualifications were not recognised in Adelaide. As a ‘first in family’ student, he completed his Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) degree part-time, alongside working in the Career Centre at Flinders University, ensuring his emergence as a Career Development Consultant. 

His local experience includes roles across a range of sectors, including Community Services, Secondary and Higher Education, Recruitment, and Outplacement, with a recent focus on high performance sport, working with Elite Athletes and Coaches developing their ‘lives alongside sport’.

His volunteering roles have seen him support Port Adelaide Cycling Club (PACC) members strive for national and international sporting success, and he has worked as a cycling official at national, international and world championship levels. 

Mark is also a private practitioner and runs his Ready 4 When consultancy alongside other roles. Mark is looking forward to sharing more from his career journey, in particular what common theme (s) have emerged.
